About the fund

Spencer was a connector, always bringing people together. He was a listener, a counselor, a trusted friend, with a heart as big as his personality, as big as his hearty laugh, as big as his hugs. He knew how to bring out the best in those around him and he touched our lives in ways which allow us to remember him often, sometimes when we least expect it. A highly respected member of Boston’s culinary scene for more than ten years, Spencer made many friends and earned the respect of all who had the privilege to work with him. He is dearly missed. 

The Spencer Streetman Memorial Fund was established in 2017 in order that each year we might give to one or more charities in Spencer’s memory, touching on the many interests he pursued in life. Since then, we have been humbled by the outpouring of love we have received and are excited to continue to keep Spencer’s memory alive and to honor his work.

There are a few different ways to join us in contributing to to the programs supported by the Spencer Streetman Memorial Fund:

a) GIVE TO THE SPENCER STREETMAN MEMORIAL FUND

Contributions to the fund will support our annual giving program, which includes the Cooking for Recovery program at the Boston Medical Center, the Fenn School, and others. Donations may be made by check payable to Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund and may be sent to Fidelity Charitable, P.O. Box 770001, Cincinnati, OH 45277-0053. Please reference the Spencer Streetman Memorial Fund in the memo field of your check and include a return address in order to receive a tax receipt. This year Fidelity is asking donors to fill out a contribution form which is available for downloading here. Only Page 1 (social security number not required) and Page 5 (signature page) are required. Please be sure to include this form with any check you send in.

b) GIVE TO THE COOKING FOR RECOVERY PROGRAM AT THE BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER

1. Visit the Boston Medical Center’s Make A Donation web page

2. Under "Designation" select "Other"

3. Click “Add comment” and write in "Preventive Food Pantry in honor of Spencer Streetman"

c) GIVE TO THE SPENCER E. STREETMAN ‘97 FUND AT THE FENN SCHOOL

1. Visit Fenn’s Endowment Giving page at the link here.

2. Click on Make a Gift to a Fenn Endowment Fund.

3. Under Designation, select Spencer E. Streetman ‘97 Fund from the pull-down menu. Fenn’s Federal Tax ID Number is 04-2104164.
